Originally from Tennessee, Dr. Timothy Mathews went West to attend Loma Linda School of Dentistry where he graduated in 2013. Directly out of dental school Dr. Tim traveled North to Alaska where he lived and practiced dentistry for almost 9 years. Wishing to be closer to family and have longer, warmer summers, Dr. Tim, his wife, two girls, and two big dogs decided to move back to the lower forty-eight and call Kalispell, Montana their permanent home.
Outside of the dental office, Dr. Tim and his family immensely enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. Whether it is figuring out how to fit 2 adults, 2 children, and 2 dogs in a 17-foot canoe without tipping over, or cramming them all into a truck for a road trip to explore the National Park, to camping in a roof-top tent in an obscure location; if it can be done outdoors they most likely would like to try it. One of Dr. Tim’s biggest hobbies that fits right in, is his passion for photography and flying drones which usually end up on Instagram on @timthetoothninja.
It is very important to Dr. Tim to stay current with the latest in dentistry, taking care to learn and engage with the ever changing dental field. Dr. Tim’s training is not limited to and includes digital dentistry, Invisalign, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Oral Surgery and Implantology. He values not just treating someone, but teaching and helping them understand a comprehensive view of their oral health. He understands the impact good dental health can have in someone’s life and loves to give back to the local community as well as world-wide. Dr. Tim has been adjunct faculty at Loma Linda School of Dentistry where he has participated in and taught dental students on service/mission trips including places like Bangladesh, Honduras, Palau, and the Caribbean.
